Evelyne Naikoba is a commercially astute lawyer with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) degree from the University of Dar es Salaam bagged in 2015, a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre (2017), an MBA with a specialization in Strategy from Herriot Watt University in Scotland (2020), and a Certificate in Global Energy Transitions & Extractive Industries’ Governance and Management (2022).

Additionally, Evelyne is a Chartered Corporate Secretary (GRADCG), having completed her CSQS from the Chartered Governance Institute in the United Kingdom, and a qualified realtor, having been certified by the Real Estate Institute of East Africa.

Evelyne currently serves as an Attorney at GraHaM Advocates, where she advises businesses and individuals on corporate and commercial law, governance and regulatory compliance, corporate secretarial and board matters, property law, mining and extractives law, construction law, employment, and labor relations, strategic negotiations, and project finance and management.

She negotiates, drafts, and reviews various legal documents pertaining to business transactions and is frequently called upon to support and advise clients in their Ugandan, and East African Community (EAC) cross-border, and international investment and operational activities.

As well, Evelyne chairs the East African Chapter of the Internationally Trained Lawyers (ITLS) Lawyers, where she is responsible for spearheading, coordinating, and overseeing the management of all operations of this forum within the East African Region.

Furthermore, she serves on the Uganda Law Society’s Professional Training and Development Committee, where she is eager to assist fellow lawyers in developing the skills and knowledge required to advance their careers while ensuring compliance.

Evelyne holds memberships with the Chartered Governance Institute-UK, the Uganda Law Society, the East Africa Law Society, the Uganda Association of Women Lawyers (FIDA-U), the Association of Real Estate Agents (AREA-U), the Dispute Resolution Centre-ABRELIS Global Initiative in Nigeria, and the Justice Advocacy Institute Africa.

Evelyne has continued to develop and apply her skills in corporate governance to enhance the reputation of many business organizations in Uganda and beyond.
